Problem was a solder bridge on L14401 to JW14117.This was probably
self-inflected when I removed this coil to clean & resolder the leads &
reinstalled it causing the bridge.Sometimes haste makes waste.

Unit would not power on.Replaced Q14401,Q14101,R14107,Q14102 &14103.Set will
now turn on,with good audio,but no video.Turned up the G2 & have faint video
with of course retrace.Have 198vdc on Q15101,2,3 collectors.Have 12vdc on
Q12701,2,3 collectors.I can see the OSD but very faint & hard to read.There's
video with color but very dim,like a picture with no or low contrast.Using a
Profax 3189 schematic which is similiar to this chassis but not complete.What
have I missed...TIA...regards.. P.S. Is this a Gemstar related problem???
