Got it running. customer was having difficulty coming up with the remote.
Found the set with the setting cable box yes. using the remote and the front
panel on the top of the set the menu button on the top of the set acted as
ok and was able to initiate the the functions.

Peter,
I had the same problem after a repair, could not get it to program
without customers remote.. The original remote has an OK button..
universal remote has no OK button..

yes, it won't auto program if the setup has "use a cable box" selected. in
that csae you will be stuck with ch 3 or 4 (whichever the customer chose ).
Deselect 'cablebox" and you will get to the autoprogram part.
