All transistors, resistors, diodes, etc on the three CRT boards were ok, problem was an open 2.4K 1/4W R5A28 that was taken out by the flyback along with C5A07. Pin 8 of the flyback should be at some positive voltage but was at about negative 14 volts. ************************************************** Jim Myers Since 1972 Telrad Electronic Services Co. Jim, I think I know which ones he's talking about,( another tech had lost a picture, and replacing ONE and ONLY ONE of those transistors got video signal to pass....but it didn't bring his picture back....at all). I think the KEY to this problem, and that other tech's problems is to REPLACE ALL those transistors. It's likely, as those transistors are the biasing transistors off of the Video Jungle, or that Blue enhancement-gamma-thingy IC just before going to the CRT boards. Arcing IHVT, C5A07, Blanked picture, turn up screen and video appears......sure points to the IK pulse feedback is incorrect, and those transistors are right in line with the output side. I recall there are actually 2 transistors for each color, one passes video, the other biases the 1st one. Of course, the transistors Most likely affected would actually be the CRT output and drive transistors, since they are directly connected to the Crt and offending IHVT......
