Kevin,

Look for a common  resistor to the three color amps that has gone up in
value causing a high bias on the CRT. You can verify this by loading down
each CRT cathode pin to ground through a 100k ohm or so resistor
momentarily. Should lighten up the screen color of the pin you're on as you
move the resistor. I do not like the method of not limiting the current (not
using a resistor suggested by others). HTH
