The DVD/CDRW driver used in computers usually have a small pin hole in the front of the tray so that you can push a straightened paper clip through it to release the catch. Not such if this applies in you case, worth a look see. Sounds simple, open it up, take out the DVD --- ha, ha. > > It has a computer type DVD writer. The tray won't open, motor is trying but not opening. It will not pull back from it's mounting because the tray appears to have a trim piece attached to the front that is larger than the opening in the front panel. Since it won't open I can't take it off. I've tried to pull/pry the tray out but it won't budge. > > Anybody seen one of these? > Any ideas? > > Thanks > > > Russ Hoyt > Hoyt's TV > Exeter, NH > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
