[TechAssist] Creepy Crawlers???

Just got in a Hitachi 50" TV that I replaced the Voltage regulator about 3
months ago. Unit came in with Ic901 STRM6811 shorted and a VERY Large BUG
between the leggs of the IC. Could this Bug have shorted the IC?
