The best way to do this without a service manual is to check for 4.8v at the
eeprom at
pins 5,6,and 8.If its ok at pin 5 but low at 6\8,replace the eeprom.
If low or none at pin 5,then go back the reg. ( stk) and check for -40v at pin
one.
IF the -40v are there at the reg,then the reg is bad.Make sure that you have the
140v
at pins 11and 12 also.If the 140v are not there,then check R4101.(1.5meg) I
think.
IF you have to replace the reg,also replace CR4106.
