Goldstar is a subsidiary of LG just like Zenith is.  Before Zenith went
bankrupt, LG owned 58% of them.  So the bankrupcy cost them a ton of money
because the 58% of Zenith stock they owned became worthless.  When LG
eventually forked over the money for all the patents & other assets of
Zenith, they became the sole owners.  It was another sad day in the USA when
the last of the American owned TV manufacturers became foreign owned. Greg
