I had one like that, it turned out one of the ribbon cables came out from it's 
connector, just a tad.

I don' t see these much and was wondering if you Apex servicers out there could 
clue me in. This is one of
those portable DVD with a LCD screen and has a dark picture. I think the LCD 
display is bad but was
wondering what the guys on the list thought. I took the unit apart and found a 
few pots, adjusted a couple
of them that seems to affect the brightness but only a little.
If anyone thinks it is the LCD display, maybe you would also know where I can 
get one or if they are even
available. I imagine they are expensive.

Any advice is welcome.
