Hi, a problem that keeps recurring for me (and uses up a lot of my spare
time!)
A ticking noise (OCProtecetion kicking in) BUT not in the high voltage area.
After checking HOT, diodes, tuning cap, flyback etc the OCP is still there.
I have disconnected diodes from the transformer to try to isolate the bad
line.
Also check switching transformer and components thereabouts.
Is there a quick or helpful way that I can narrow these problems down a bit
quicker (I have 2 that I cannot seem to solve!)
NOTE THAT THESE ARE USUALLY DONE WITHOUT CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS ETC
Any tips, other than the ones mentioned above will be greatly appreciated -
these types of problems are common and some are easy enough but the type I
have mentioned are a right pain!
Thanks in advance
