Gary, Thanks for such a swift response. I have tried most of these things. I think I will try a new HOT Q551 (BU06DF),....although if it is bad, it would have to be an intermittant, open condition, cause the set seems to work perfect, for about 5 minutes. Then it just shuts down,....it don't blow any fuses, or short out any parts. I have also replaced the Reg IC with an OEM part.(even has the "A" at the end of it STR58041A ).
