I will be out of town this weekend, so worst case we could try Monday. The compressor not working could be due to a couple of things (programming, bad sensor, sensor wiring etc...) What we can do is hardwire the compressor shutoff switch into the power connection for the compressor. We will know right away if there is a problem if the compressor doesn't startup or shutoff between 120-130 psi. We could leave it hardwired in since using it as a sensor input was only a requirement for the competition inspection. -----Original Message----- From: team2039-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:team2039-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of balloooza314@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2010 7:55 AM To: team2039@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [team2039] why the kicker never seemed to work At the meeting on tuesday I found why the kicker never seemed to work. After I ran sinple code on the robot, I found that the encoder was not tracking correctly. I opened up the encoder, and what do you know, the part with the tracking stripes was faded scratched and full of inperfections. With the help of bud, I was able to put a new clean tracker on the encoder, and I tested it out with the same simple code and it works. Now we have a problem, the compressor is not starting, and we cannot find the strange xbox connection controller thing. that connects the usb I think we need to go in on saturday or some oter time to fix it what we need to buy 2 usb xbox controllers -mark ---------- Sent from my Phone, on a tiny keyboard.
