Let's examine the variable that we can adjust. (weight, radius, magnet force)
Maybe a larger drive radius would help. That might mean finding a larger
surgical tubing or similar.

Subject: [team2039] No Robotics Meeting Tonight

It is sounding like many may not be able to make the meeting tonight. As the
blizzard warnings have been pushed up to 3 PM today, I think it will be best if
we call off the meeting and resume the build on Thursday. By then we should
likely have shaft collars and most of the rest of the electronics parts that we
need.

I will also go ahead and order some more minibot motors to replace the one /
ones we may have burnt up last night. Thinking about the minibot motor burn
from an engineering prospective, please see below. I would like everyone to
research how we could potentially modify the gear boxes (if possible) to get a
more favorable gear ratio without making the minibot very big. Otherwise, we
do have a design that climbs, but will just require some downsizing (perhaps we
can make the old design super compact?).

This torque allows the motor to operate normally without problem. It works
much better going down because the weight acts to reduce the torque required
thereby making a stall less likely. The weight is also working against
friction in this case. We can calculate both of the torques, and we know that
we want to operate closer to the second motor torque. We should note that the
weight as tested last night did not include the battery.
