Am I alone in thinking that a bright yellow box which contrasts with the darker pole colour highlights where the pushbutton is just as well as any other contrasting item would. For information, here in Derby we fit tactile cones to all pushbutton units. Where appropriate, we use the stem of the tactile paving to indicate which PBU the rotating cone is mounted on (these days it's the right hand one although this does seem to change regularly). We use nothing else to highlight the loction of PBU's and nothing to indicate any other PBU's that may be fitted with rotating cones.
