I’m not sure what the thinnest material would be. Most of my chute experience
has focused on “coolest looking” not so much on performance.

Does anyone know what is the thinnest material chute one can find? For
reference I want to pack the largest chute possible
in an 18, 29, 38mm tube. Hang time is critical, I want to get a giant chute
in there. One thing I found was an old silk parachute
that I got from Aerocon, it was from an aerial flare. The material is
mind-blowing, it is high quality silk but I have not found anything
like that, shocked to see this would just get burnt up, but I guess it is
single use and probably just cheap silk.
Anyhow, what do people think is the smallest chute (I am still a fan of
top-flite for that purpose). What is better?
thank you
