The following is my feelings and belief on how covid 19 'works'.
Most of us will get it. Some of us won't even know we have/had it. The older
you are or if your health is already compromised will have a harder time
getting over it. Something like < 1.8% will die (don't quote me on this number)
Our Hospital are not really equipped to handle much more then they do, day in
day out. Covid 19 attacks the respiratory system. The need for oxygen,
breathing treatments, intubation to pneumonia. Some where along this treatment
you end up in the ICU. There are only so many ICU beds at each hospital. At
some point patients will need to be triaged (sorted to who gets admitted). The
50 year old guy with a heart attack or the 70 year old lady with late stages
of Covid 19.
The fewer covid 19 patients there are the better survival rate (available ICU
beds) will be.
How can we limit the number of people in need of ICU beds? Heart attacks Loose
some weight, stop smoking and stop eating junk foods. Covid 19: slow the
spread. shelter at home, maintain 6 feet of social distancing, wash your hands!
You not contracting or unknowingly spreading covid 19 will give the hospitals a
better chance at being able to handle all the ICU patients that need care and
not having to triage any.
By practicing the above the life(s) you save may be that of a loved one orr
that of a complete stranger.

Just an observation is that we have been asked to shelter in place and only go
out if necessary. It's not a total Martial Law situation for now, and I feel
people are just going to go about their lives as usual!? I just came from Lowes
to get a couple things so I can just stay home and do things I need to get done
here. Lowes isnt goint to close, and alot of other stores will be open. Why
would people feel they need to stay home? The girls who works for me said she
doesn't want to sit at home and wants to go to the office and work! She is a
millennial and doesn't get it! Unless the whole country comes to a halt, it
isn't going to help. Maybe I'm wrong, but just my opinion?

Haha - I bet! My strategy on bug control has been to buy the big tarps at
Horror Freight
(as Marino called it) and make sure you put that down like 10 minutes before
you paint. Over here if you start between 10am to high noon, you won't have to
do the old tweezer trick to pull them off. Of course, not having all this
shitty pollen in the air helps as well :-)

Seriously though, right now people need some time to relax (besides Titos), now
here is a good one from an old timer (my Dad) ... he told me about the USAF
missile command center stationed in the
Kodiak islands (KLC) (300 miles from Russia) and how during the 50's and 60's
the Radar operators watching screens all days would just listen to smooth jazz
to stay calm. You even hear about now in the NYC Zoos for the big cats and
monkeys to calm down ...
So, Herb Alpert, Ben Tankard, Peter White, Chriss Botti, Kenny G.. great things
to play or stream instead of watching all the Drama on the news right now.

Hey folks,
I'd like to leave everyone with one final thought for the day, from a
colleague I receive this morning:
During the Great Plague of London in 1665-1666, the University of Cambridge
closed for a few months. A young undergraduate named Isaac Newton engaged in
social distancing and retired to the family home a hundred kilometers to the
north. There he continued working, and subsequently discovered the calculus,
the theory of gravitation, and the spectral nature of light among many other
things.
So stay focused on your work, build rockets, and use this time to do some
good for the world.

We're being asked to stay home, avoid social gatherings, and watch Netflix.
Really brings it home doesn't it?
Anyhow, people need to take this seriously so that we can curb the growth
of this thing and squash the peaks. So build your favorite rocket and focus
on your family...
After that, it's time to fly rockets!

I figured this would be coming, at least for the next launch we’re in the

we can have Dairy Aire. If not we will just have to stay put, and wait it out.

Precautions
Okay, here it is:
Tripoli Rocketry Association has been closely monitoring the COVID-19
situation.
The White House and the CDC has recommended that all gatherings be limited to
10 people or less.
In order to protect our members, their families and guests at launches, and do
our part to stem the spread of the virus, the TRA board of directors have taken
the following actions.
All TRA sanctioned launches, meetings, or other gatherings shall be canceled
for a minimum of 15 days, starting March 18, 2020
We will continue to monitor the situation.
Please stay safe and healthy
