Right on guys. I've been scratchbuilding mine for the last year or so.
I have a couple 500's and a 1100' class with 340KV motors, just flew it
last weekend
and also I fly my 500 every day or so...
I'm also flying my GPS-1 platforms with drones now, GPS and Telemetry and
they work
great with Pixhawk and talking ground-stations ... even have a mavlink
proxy to emulate Wi-Fi!
Lots of stuff you can do here - if you want to improve your FPV, you should
get an FPV
TX, Camera and either Goggles or display or both. Look at getfpv.com or
yes, Amazon
has tons of stuff. Also I like E-Bay, FPV Headquarters, and ThanksBuyer.
On the PTZ, you want a 3-Axis Alexmos setup, the BGC Controller and the
mount are key,
if you have a Phantom.
I sent some email to Gene about this earlier, seems we should test out some
failsafe and
chute deployments or off-boarding to have our own light show like Intel is
doing on the Aero.
All about how much time you have ..

I received a DJI Spark for Christmas... like its big brother the Mavic it
flies itself and take nice video and panoramic photos. I thought it would
be good to take rocket launch videos.
I've purchase lots of accessories on Amazon prime... more batteries and
extension legs were my first add ons.

Not familiar with that unit but GoPro/gimbal options depend on how good
you want it to work.
Aerial media pros has some nice stuff but pricey.
