Hi Chris,
Our DA and OS launches are three day launches and the price is $30 for the
whole weekend.
Keep in mind that we are the only club that doesn't charge yearly fees and
we should probably raise the price to
$60 to keep up with inflation but we still haven't done that because people
pay the launch fees.
$30 is $10/day which is the minimal cost to operate our launch site, and it
is rising.
Please consider that the porta-potties alone cost hundreds of dollars for
the whole weekend, and equipment
easily adds up to 100's of dollars very fast. For example, we just replaced
a brand new 1010 rail and someone
burnt up their rocket on it 1 hour into the launch. That would have been a
good enough justification for launch fees.
So please pay the $30 even if you come for one day, that will really
support the club; people wouldn't like it if they
paid a $100 yearly fee and then launch fees on top of it, that is what will
happen if only a few people pay their
fees ...

It is the start of summer, as I mentioned earlier it is always hot this
time of year.
You can get water or drinks at the Helm store. No extreme camping
required!

Question - how many people want to have a night-launch? Normally, we do
Dairy Aire in May and it gets dark at 8 or so. Now it will be getting dark
at 8:30, so if we did a launch, would 9 or 10pm be too late for
everyone on Saturday night?
