Bruce
Thanks for the heads up on this! Looks like a great movie. I always wondered
why there was no movie about the first moon landing, but there was a very movie
about for Apollo 8. There was plenty of drama during Apollo 11, but it was
just not as widely known.
The only existing movie about Apollo 11 landing is a movie called "The Dish".
I really enjoyed that one too!
The first TV image from the Eagle on the moon was upside down. It was received
by a radio telescope dish in Australia. I tell people that is why it was up
side down....
For those of us old guys, where were you when Apollo 11 landed?

Hello fellow rocketeers!
This post is just to inform you of a new movie coming out in October and,
although it is't about rockets per say, it looks cool because it follows the
legacy of Neil Armstrong (the starring role played by Ryan Gossling, from the
recent Blade Runner movie).
The movie trailer shows Armstrong in the days where he flew the X-15 rocket
plane ( including I think breathtaking views of the earth as it flies into
space) and the Gemini Mission where thrusters went heywire and that mission
almost ended in disaster, the Apollo 1 fire that almost killed our chances of
going to the moon, and finally Armstrong becoming the first man on the moon.
Those of you Millenials who are too young to have seen these things, this is a
movie I highly reccommend for you. I definitely am going to see it.
And it will be released during the month of our October Skies Launch, what
could be better?
