Thats Awesome!!!I need to pick up the sensor fusion project again - got
sidetracked on some LIDAR and SLAM system I'm building :-)

October Skies last year, I flew the RAF DataLogger in two different rockets.
The DataLogger has a 3-axis rate gyro and 3-axis accelerometer. I also had a
PerfectFlite StratoLogger barometric altimeter and a Beeline GPS in each of
these rockets, so, for the for time, I had all the data I needed from my 3d
flight attitude and trajectory analysis. I just posted the two flight
visualization videos to my web site. The links to the pages with the videos
are:
http://speedmotionrockets.com/Flight%20Analysis%20-%20SpeedRunner%2075%2010_17_15.html
and
http://speedmotionrockets.com/Flight%20Analysis%20-%20SpeedRunner%2054%2010_18_15.html
Scroll down the bottom of each page to find the video link. It’s
cool seeing what the rocket does during its flight. The biggest surprise to me
is how fast the rocket spins-up and spins-down due to what I presume is an
off-axis vectoring of the motor’s thrust. It’s hard to see that from the
ground! I also still have the Tokyo Institute of Technology ARLISS flight
visualization video at:
http://speedmotionrockets.com/Flight%20Analysis%20-%20ARLISS%20Flight.html ;
This flight did not have GPS data, so the east-west/north/south location is an
approximation. But this flight shows how a rocket spins up when the spin is
caused by the fins. This was the first time I had flown the RAF DataLogger.
I was easy to use and worked perfectly on both flights. Thanks to Bob
Feretich for creating a great product! Tom Fetter
