A bad tire can do that .
The only only thing I have ever heard that causes symptoms you describe are:
Worn steering stabilizer
Worn tie rod ends
Worn ball joints
In that order, I am sure Bob has looked at that stuff.
I think the warming up and than having the problem is coincidence?
