First off this is not a self penned story about Paul Smith, I just happened to
be in the story.After a long weekend of fun in the hills and 7 hours on a river
bank at 105 degrees I headed towards Mc Allaster for the night.Got to Mc and
ate at my favorite Western Sizzler (in Mc) After eating I perked back up and
took off for home.Somewhere around Euphala Ok. there was a bus on a trailer and
a young man and his lady broke down on the side of the rode.I stopped to
help.He told me about him blowing out a bunch of trailer tires and had one on
the left rear of his trailer.This very nice young couple are from the Ft.Worth
area because Terry and some Friends had helped him get the bus out of a
field.He told me that they had a room at the Choctaw Nation and couldn't cancel
because of the time rule.Another one fifty down the drain if they did get to
stay there,I checked the bolt pattern on his trailer and it was the same as
mine.I told me that we would Mount my
spare on his trailer and he could take it to Joe's in Burlesom sometimes this
week .We got them fixed up and it was off to the races, About Desoto Tx I saw a
new Lq, and said no mas , so I spent the night there,On Monday about 2:00 pm I
got a call from the young man checking on me to see if everything was alright?
He said that I had saved their weekend and they had a good time gambling and
swimming at the3 casino and said he was at the tire store buying 3 new tires .I
drove on home with no problem.This is the first eureka trip that I haven't had
some sorta trouble on the Zone so it was great to actually get to help someone
else especially after all the help I've gotten over the years from Friends .Got
up this morning to go eat my breakfast burrito , you guessed it .I had a flat
on my Trailer.So did I just get Lucky or is there really anybody out there?
