You're probably already on the road headed south and won't see this but...

While you're still a little bit north find a sportsman's store and look for
a 0-degree sleeping bag at a decent price. About all you find down here is
40-degree bags.

I've slept outside in my 0-degree bag at between 30 and 35 degrees and
didn't realize how cold it was until I poked my head out and saw the frost
around me (at BBB-VI in 2002).

And you should go see Harper's Ferry the weekend after Columbus Day every
year (http://www.johnbrownsbuses.com)
