A friend in need is a friend indeed and we survived by them, we drove our
vert to the Vosa show because it never gets driven. That was our first
mistake not taking the camper. It started running bad right before we got to
the show, Steve thought he had it fixed but it just stopped dead on us about
10 times, every time he thought it was fixed. We were rescued by a bunch of
good VW people leaving the show on 46, I don't know what they did, we bought
a new battery in Austin, Bob and Keith Smith(in his big wrecker with cool
lights) rescued us in Temple with a new distributor about 10pm on the side
road. Again we thought it was fixed. Then right outside Hillsboro the
battery went dead, in the middle of nowhere, very dark, nice stars though.
Larry came to our rescue and towed us home- God love him, we owe him and
everyone else big time, we made it home around 2:30am.
We're still glad we went though, going back to sleep now.

We really did have a good time , We had our own little
corner all to ourselves , The trip to peters house was
worth the price of admission .The show was most
excellent . Loved the vintage bikes at Luckenbach ,
The last two weeks of Vdubdom have been a magical
mystery tour . There should be some really
interestting trip reports , Denni's and Sharon and
Steve s should be a dilly.
