Maybe there are other repops out there but I tried one from Wolfsburg West.
The housing was terrible quality and the connectors for the wires where
connected to the housing had fallen off in the box. Both the metal and the
chrome on the lens holder were horrible quality and the plastic lense was
really cheesy. I sent it back. HOWEVER, the plastic repop lense that they
sell by itself as a replacement lense is excellent. As I said, you can't tell
the difference between it and the original glass except on really close
examination; and best of all, they don't break when you drop one.

The lense is a German reproduction PN 211 945 241 AX and the price was $22.

complaint. Is the bulb holder the issue?

The repops aren't worth a C _ _ _! Here is what I have done: Housings are not
that hard to find and are not that expensive. Saw 2 in the swap at bugswarm
last weekend. Clean them up, buy some new seals and purchase the repop plastic
lenses from Wolfsburg West. These lenses are not that expensive (bout $30 I
think) and I'll guarantee you can't tell the difference between their repop
plastic ones and a glass one from 5 feet away. They are good. BUT, don't buy
the repop housing: They are not worth the shipping cost.

FYI: Talk to Ronnie (Splitpile) he sells repop tail light assemblies for your
year. AFAIK
Wolfgang also sells the same repops. It's better than forking out the $300+ for
a decent set.
