I think he means the little metal bracket that fits into the backing plate and
helps hold the e-brake cable and I don't know if they are the same.

Thing Backing Plates and 68-up bug are the same. Type 3 are different.
Hold the e-brake tubes? you mean the small circleclip that goes under the
spring on the cable in the backing plate? If yes they are the same all models,
all years.
