Sammie if this continuely happens sounds like to me there might be a pin hole
in one of the brake lines, or tell him to find someone in a shop that has a
power bleeder and bleed them with that , because it will constantly keep brake
fluid running as he go from wheel to wheel and have him start at the right rear
and go to the left reae and then to the right front and then the last one ,

Subject: [tcb] Help for a bus friend

I have a friend in Nacogdoches who has an 85 bus with a Subaru engine who has a
couple of problems that someone on the list may be able to help with.

One:  He is looking for a later model Vanagon for use as a parts bus.  If
anyone knows of a stripped out, non running Vanagon suitable for a parts car
that is for sale could you please give some contact info.

Two:  He is having a brake problem that has both him and myself stumped (but as
you know I know almost nothing about busses after 67).  And he is an expert
mechanic (is the agricultural mech professor at SFA).  The problem deals with
brakes.  Brakes on his 85 give the impression of air in the lines.  He has bled
the system numerous times.  Lasts a couple of weeks and then gives the same
symptoms again.  Every time he bleeds it he gets air out of the right rear.
Says he has bled a total of 8 quarts of brake fluid through the system.  Has
replaced the master cylinder with a new one.  Then replaced the master cylinder
with another new one of a different manufacturer.  System has no leaks that he
can find.  Not knowing anything about the brake systems with the vacuum booster
I suggested that it might have a bad canister (or whatever you call those
things).  Anyone have any idea?  If so, let me know and I will pass it along.
