For sure I'll be chipping in. It was amazing fun. I just walked in the
door. Donner is at the mechanic. He'll be officially diagnosed tomorrow.
And now I'm going to have to be a little Academy-Award-Winnerish here.
Thanks Denis and Jan for hosting such a fabulous shindig. Thanks Chuck and
Sue for providing so much help with the festivities. Thanks to Dennis and
Claudia who turned around in Oklahoma to help me out in Texas. And thanks
to the many who called and emailed to offer and find me help, some of these
people I don't even know. Vw people are sweeter than cotton candy! Thanks
to Mike and June for transporting me to and from Psycoblooie. And thanks to
Kirk, who is not on our list, but he's the one who provided Donner with a
safe place to rest while I partied. Thanks to Gerald for hauling up the big
boom box and keeping the tunes a' playin'. Thanks to all of those who
helped out in the kitchen, there were plenty of great vittles. Thanks to
Bodean, Dan, and Michael for risking life and limb to provide us with a
spectacular fireworks show. Having mechanical difficulties really turned
out to make the whole experience brighter. If Donner made it all the way,
he would have been in the parade and I would have missed out on riding with
Kim and Chad on the way there and with Andy, Debbie, and Emily on the way
back. And also if Donner had made it all the way, that's where I would have
slept but instead I slept on the porch and woke up to the most wonderful
view. And thanks to Donner's difficulties, I can rest my head on my pillow
tonight knowing that I now have more friends then ever.

But before slipping into the arms of Morpheus tonight, I'm going to download
all those photos, keep your fingers crossed that there are some good ones.
I'll put together a photo album and post the link a.s.a.p.
