Or me and my friends, it just takes SSSSOOOOoooooooo LOOoooong for them to get down the track after watching the fuel cars.
I remember standing down at the big end of the track at the winter nats. one year.
I had watched the whole top fuel 1st round qualifying.
Than they ran some sportsman class, the first pair took so long to get to me I realized I was getting sunburn.

I have been to the NHRA drag races. You FEEL dragsters! I have been standing on the flight deck of a couple aircraft carriers next to F14 and the like. That kinda ruined drag racing for me. The most painful part of drag racing for me is the sportsman classes AFTER funny car and top fuel qualifying. I will watch or go to just about any kind of motorsports event, but I really prefer F1 to all others.

can you not be a fan of a car that weighs
approximately 1,000 pounds, puts
out 1,500 horsepower and runs for several hours

powerful running a track
that they don't look real. Looks like slot cars.
They are just too fast
in the turns for realism.
