The pending tropical storm kind of ruined my plans with my youngest son for the weekend. We were going to leave tonight to go to Colorado and pan for gold but my job dictates that I need to be here to deal with the storm. Can anyone suggest an alternative activity within 250+/- miles of San Antonio or Austin that a 11 year old would enjoy?

Coastal dwellers should probably settle in for Erin, it's not exactly
tracking in a straight line westward. Heavy weather expected from Lake
Charles to Brownsville (as reported by weather.com so make your own call on believeability). Low Houstonians may want to move unused vehicles to higher 
ground though.
Dean looks like it may get ugly somewhere too. Still far enough out to keep 
gaining strength before walloping someone.
