[tcb] ES Fast Trip Report

We are back from ES. 290 entries and they closed registration at 9:00 Saturday
morning cause they had no place to park more cars. Terry, Shirley, Steve,
Sharon, Paul, me, Bev, Scott, Brad and probably some other TCBrs were there
that I missed. I counted 35 split window busses in the show. Did not count
the bays but there were several. Dean Kirsten (Hot VWs) was there and brought
his wife Kathy. Pretty normal fare for an ES show.
Lots of info about Denis: Best most accurate seems to be that he has 4
fractured ribs, cut on forehead that required 4 stitches, MRI on spleen and
liver were negative, lots of abrasions, and one severely stubbed big toe. He
is on a ventilator and cannot talk, so no visitors and no phone calls. As noted
in another post: A giant (about 3' X 6' cutout of a bus that looked really
good was signed at the show by all of his friends and they were to take it to
him in the hospital. After talking to Chuck about all of his injuries he is
probably going to feel the fractured ribs and the stubbed toe more than
anything for the next few weeks.
Of course we all wish him well and he will probably be tied up for a few days
just reading all of the posts on the TCB about him when he gets to access a
computer.
