I did a similar trip last summer in the '79 Westy. Here to Amarillo, there to Colo Spgs., there to Grand Junction, then down to Gallup, NM, then Elephant Butte, then Silver City, NM, then Deming, then Las Cruces, then home. Good shakedown cruise, but tough in August with no air conditioning. Still, I had a good time!
