Would that be for "Slopping Cookies" Denis? ;-)

Here you go James. Bustorations is the American dealer for
        Gearson's green metal.

Whoah hold on there, I have a late Bay as a daily driver
and have no problem finding parts.

I could see us having to get all Cuban and stuff but I
can't see it happening soon. I was discussing it the other
day that when the oil runs out on this planet the engine
in my '59 would probably become a hybrid but that won't
            happen in our lifetime.

BTW I was in contact with Gerson and had talked to him
several times about belly pans. After I measured them I
called him to buy them over the phone but I was told to
send him my address since he didn't take credit cards yet.
He said he would send them to me and I could pay him later
(WOW - I was speechless) he never answered my email. I
            then saw his feedback thread.
Has anyone here had success from him doing mail order? I
hear he visits the shows in the States and that is where
alot of his favorable feedback comes from.

We're still relatively inexpensive but with parts no
longer available or made it's going to be a hobby
/weekend activity soon for aircooled VWs. NO more
daily drivers regrettably. Then you'll see more off
to the wayside.

Thank God we have people like Ronnie and Gerson in
                    the hobby though!
Add my bus to the list of splits that looked
                    aweful when bought.
All it takes is lots of time and lots of money.
I didn't save any receipts for my split, because I
                    don't want to know.
                    I'd just get depressed.

You're right on that point. Busses I passed on
years ago look pretty good now. Unfortunately
we'll never have the same aftermarket support
like the guys out there have with the shoebox
chevys or the 30s fords either.

well, like I said yesterday, it doesn't matter
what they look like when you get them. Besides,
how many splittys are out there anymore? Murray
looked pretty bad when I got him.

I don't know if this is a quality pic or
not. Either way Brian has some work to do.
