I would get that bus in a heartbeat. But since we are talking t3, I would
still go and try to find it. Again, my opinion.

So what I think Sammie is saying that if a cool Split Bus was used to transport
a murder victim from the scene of the crime to the dump spot, he might be
interested in the Bus? The only problem with my scenario is that it was a Type
3?

Naw. Didn't even have one. Just wanted out. My divorce only cost me $5.60
postage. He paid for everything else...didn't even have to go in front of the

had. He sold for $1 to someone in Dallas to hide it from me until the divorce
was finalized. Now that car is somewhere in Houston re-painted, but I know it
as soon as I see it. For those on the list that know my ex-husband, I am not
bashing him...just saying what I feel.
Sorry for hijacking this thread.
Julie, you are not sick...just a VW lover and that is good thing!

I have had both a Squareback and a Notch. Loved them both...especially on
grocery runs. I loved it when people would look at me at the grocery store in
my Notchback putting items in the trunk, then moving to the engine compartment,
then inside with me in the back seat. I would just laugh and then drive off.
Mark had a Fastback before and loved it and I would absolutely love to have
another Notchback...but my Vanagon does the job perfectly right now.
This is only my 2 cents, Sammie. Not everyone does like Type IIIs. Too bad I
lost both of those cars in my divorce.

Beverly calls those a "slowback;" you know, as opposed to the "fastback."
Personally I have never had interest in the Type III. Didn't like them when
they came out and still don't. Do like some of their component parts, just not
the vehicle. Now I know why. Thanks for the cheering message Julie.

I must be mentally ill. I saw a show on Investigation Discovery channel about
a man that was murdered many years ago by his father-in-law and his ex-wife's
next husband. It was planned out and they pre-dug the hole in a field for easy
disposal. They lured him into a trap, shot him, put his dead body in a
Squareback, drove him to the field and dumped him in the hole. It took decades
to solve the who done it question. The ex-wife may or may not have been
involved. Today she lives in her father's old house and the Squareback is
still parked there on the side of the house. And when driving to work this
morning I am thinking Wow! That looks like a great Squareback! I wonder if I
can somehow find it? Am I ill? It wasn't even a Bus.
