Our general meeting is on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:30 pm We will have a hybrid
format, with a pre-recorded presentation from our speaker.
Dr. Mallory DeCoster, APL Civil Space at John's Hopkin's. Her ongoing
research interests include investigations into dynamic properties and
failure/fragmentation mechanisms of brittle materials, impact cratering on
planetary surfaces, modeling impact signature phenomenology, and planetary
defense. Currently, Mallory is a Co-I on the Double Asteroid Redirection
Test (DART)

In-person meeting etiquette.
- Be mindful of where the camera and microphone are, the mic does a good
job of picking up ALL conversations nearby.
- Speaking of which, if you come in late and the lights are off feel
free to stand just inside the door until your eyes dark adapt. There are
tripods and other tripping hazards present.
- If you have images that are for show-n-tell have everything on a thumb
drive presented at the beginning of the meeting to make that transition
easier.

- Please have your full name visible, we can help you will that while in
the waiting room.
- If you come in after 7:30, please come in muted with video off.
- don't take offense if we mute you or ask you to turn off your video
- To minimalize the distraction during the presentations we ask that you
add questions to the chat, or wait until the open question period at the
end.
- If you have show and tell, please let folk know early and be ready to
share your screen on Zoom
