These images were taken at St Mary Visitor Center the night of 16 July 2012 which was the third night in a row we had Aurora at Glacier National Park from the X1.4 CME on 12 July 2012. There were only 7 visitors at the nightly Star Party probably due to extensive clouds earlier in the day. Two of the visitors were professional Photographers with Nikon D700 full frame cameras. We had quite a time taking pictures while I showed the stars to a family of 4 in between taking images. My Canon T1i did a creditable job in comparison to the full frame Nikons.
