Do you know if the seeing species can open the link in the text message? But it contains an = sign and as of yet, TALKS does not read the symbols on a Nokia E71. So blocked at all turns! Thanks anyway. A hit or miss really. Sorry I can't offer more advice but to keep trying going in and out of the message body... Actually I'm glad that this issue has come up on list as the original cursor mode in Talks is an area that definitely has a room for a lot of improvement. I can't count how many times I received a text with a phone number and just gave up after countless tries to click it. This is very inconvenient as when the original cursor mode doesn't work you only left with copying stuff manually from a text message. Not productive at all. No matter where I cursor too I still get the same problem. There is some cursor movement up and down but its not as good as the Talks letters and words cursor its just how it works for a standard user without Talks. Talks long 2 to cycle between cursor modes... mind you though, I find the original cursor a little fiddly to work with but you've to be in this mode to click on links and work with numbers in text messages. HTH, Amro ----- Original Message ----- From: Barbara Wilson To: talks-uk Sent: Monday, August 10, 2009 10:34 AM Subject: [talks-uk] Opening a link within a text I have a text message which contains a link. There is no other text in the message. I find the start of the link text and press Select, but rather than going to the link, the Options list is opened and there is no option in there to go to the link. So, how do I go to the link? Using a Nokia E71 on Vodafone. Thanks for any suggestions.
