Hi Barbara,

Yep, I love the 5500 Sport as much as I love an hour at the dentist. It is
possibly the worst phone I have ever had the misfortune to handle. The
audio is bad, the keys are hard to press, so texting fast is impossible.
And did I say it's an all-round bad phone? <Smile>.

All the best

Steve

You know what us ladies are like Steve. Just asking as Vodafone are only
offering a couple of TALKS phones on contract. I don't need one now, so will
put it away as a spare. Just want to make sure I pick the one which is the
best value but a good phone as well. Only other ones they offer which work
with TALKS to varying degrees are the 6210, 6220, N96 and that awful 6124.

  Barbara,

  All these questions <Smile>.

No, there is no difference in the audio quality, but the battery life is
better, as they use a 900MA battery, as opposed to the 600MA in the regular
N95. Also the GPS receiver is better in the 8GB so I am told, but Eleanor
may be able to confirm or deny that, as she has both.

  All the best

  Steve

Is the audio quality any better on the 8GB and does the battery last
longer? I like the audio quality on mine, just wondering if there was a
difference.

    Hi Eleanor,

The other thing I prefer about the silver one is that it has a memory
card slot. 8GB might sound like a lot of memory, but there are 32GB cards
coming out soon, and you can use them with the silver one.

Yes, I am sure Stve can describe it better. for me it is more defined
simply by having this front panel of silver and I just like the shape to it.
For example thinkin terms of a picture frame and the text on the desktop of
the phone being in this metal frame which is slightly raised. On the 8GB
one it is all flat and in that way has that more chunky feel about it. I
don't tend to think of the silver one as chunky. Let's hear what Steve has
to say on this one. I was also telling Steve that interestingly with the
silver one when I have it plugged in on charge the silver part of thephone,
the front, is illuminated. Just a feature that I like. Means in the dark I
can just put my hand out directly to it whereas with the black one, I can do
similar though I may not remember exactly where I put it, within an inch or
two if you know what I mean.

Is the front panel different on the 8 gig version Eleanor?

Yes they do Barbra but personally I like the front panel on the N95
Silver Standard one and then of course I was able to put an 8GB card in to
it in any case.

It was quite a while since I held one of these phones. I now have
an N95 standard and was wondering what is the physical difference as the
specs give the N95 8GB a heavier weight? Also, does the 8GB version have the
rubberised back and sides like my silver/plum standard version?
