I get a fix on my N82 in about 30 seconds. Keep the phone out of your pocket, it won't work so good. All the best Steve _____ From: talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Saqib Sent: Tuesday 9 September 2008 20:00 To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [talks-uk] Nokia N82 receiver Hi Steve and all. Could you tell me why the internal GPS receiver on the N82 is poor at picking up a GPS signal when out and about. The quality seems to be worse than my 16 channel receiver. At least with my external receiver I get GPS coverage within 2 minutes of being out on a journey. Sometimes I get a signal straight away. Am I expecting too much of internal GPS receivers within phones?
