Hello Nigel,
It is recommended you install Talks on the phone's memory. there is no
memory card, the phone has a 4GB hard disk drive.
If Talks is installed on the hard disk there are timing issues which will
affect its performance. There is plenty of internal memory and if you
ever need to format the hard drive you will have speech. Hope this helps.
