You can download Windows Live Messenger directly from the Nokia website here: 
http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/windows-live.
Remember that this is the standard messenger client, if your network offers free Windows Live Messenger for example on the Three network, you'll need to download their own version to ensure you get your free messages.

Indeed you can, it works for me on my phone though you have to know what your doing. IM Plus is great because its fully accessible, but of course you have to pay for it. The messenger application is completely free to use, offers practically all the functions of MSN and if your prepared to put a little effort in to learning its qwerks, you can use it without too much difficulty.

I have this very same problem with the messenger client on my phone. Once 
set up, you can use it without too much difficulty, so please try to get
sighted help to initially set up the user log in details. Let us know how 
you get on.

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there is some software that I can put on my phone so
that I can use msn?  I'm using a Nokia E63.  According to the phone, it
has windows live messenger already installed, but I can't seem to get
talks working with it.  I'm using talks 4.11.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
