Hi Ben if you have only just downloaded the files from comproom then it will be the latest Talks version..... Which until it has a licence code put in it will only show the Nokia TTS Once in 10 day demo and you have a licence code in it there should be the other TTS engines visible - have you checked if they are shown once you have the 10 day demo activated?? For the 30 day demo I believe a dealer needs to activate this for you - either comproom or talknav can sort this and both are on this list so they should hopefully help you out Hope this helps, Pete -original message- Subject: [talks-uk] Installation & voice issues From: ben mustill-rose <bmustillrose@xxxxxxxxx> Date: 24/10/2009 11:50 pm -- Kind regards, BEN. email: bmustillrose@xxxxxxxxx msn: benmustillrose@xxxxxxxxxxx web: http://www.bmr.me.uk (under construction) Hey all. I've run into a bit of trouble while helping a friend to install talks on there e71. I've detailed what I did below and what happens, so if anyone could be so kind as to point me in the right direction as to what I'm doing wrong I would be very greatfull. 1: got the talks zip file from comproom. 2: installed the 2 eloquence voices. This was done by installing the application installer and pressing key 1 on the e71; you can tell when its done because the application installer quits on the pc. 3: REstarted the phone and installed talks. Talks starts talking streight away, but its using the nokia tts and hasn't found iether of the eloquence voices, no change after a restart. I've tried installing the other voices that come in the zip and the same happens; the only speech options I get are nokia tts or no speech. Figgured it was time for a reinstall of everything, so I removed talks, restarted, installed eloquence, restarted and installed talks - the application installer complained that talks was already installed (O dear) As you probably guessed, this didn't solve the issue; so now there stuck using the nokia tts which lags terribley. One other thing that was slightly annoying was that I couldn't find anything about a 30 day trial; I have set them up with the 10 day one, but there not that technical and I think they'd like a bit longer than 10 days to get to kno talks and see if its for them or not. If anyone has any suggestions what so ever then please post them, i'm not really sure what the next thing to do would be. Thanks for reading.
