Hi,

Yes, the 6630's cursor button is fiddly, especially on the up-stroke. I take it that the sound quality is as good on 6680 as on 6630?

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Adrian

I haven't got a lot of dexterity in my fingers and choose to use a
communicator so I can text using a qwerty keyboard and love my 9300. I've
always had an issue with being able to feel the buttons on the series 60
phones and the 6680 is the only one that I can feel the buttons on properly
and the only series 60 phones i would consider. The buttons are definitely
more pronounce on the 6680 compared with the 30. The only other series 60
phone which I could use once I got used to it was the 3650 which i owned
briefly recently. Cheers!

Graham,

What I would be interested to know is if the buttons on the edge such as
"Call" and "End" are any bigger on the 6680. I find them very fiddely on
the 6630 and was always pressing the wrong button and sending incoming calls
to the answerphone before I set it to "Any key answer".

Adrian, having looked at both hones I can't quite agree with you.

I agree that broadly speaking they are the same phone but the 6680 has
undergone a few design improvements that I hope will make it a little more
durable.

In particular, the latch of the door that you lift to get at the MMC card
looks particularly flimsy and weak on the 6630. I know one person who has
had to put tape over this to keep the card in place as there is a spring
that partly releases the card if the catch is not properly in place and on
the 6630 this arrangement is definitely far from strong. The 6680 looks
stronger though I have never owned one and not read reviews yet so I don't
know how well it will last in practice.

The 6680 does have a cover over the camera on the back which, I think,
also
has a flash facility useful for taking pictures in darkness or poor light.
This cover does not exactly get in the way but I think it marginally
spoils
the look of the shape of the phone though this is not a massive
inconvenience.

I am not sure if processor power or memory have increased with the 6680.

Cheers
for now

My understanding is that basically the 6680- is the same as the 6630
except
it has a camera on both sides. That said you might as well go for the
6630
as it is cheaper unless free on contract anyway.
