Improve pedestrian safety: Want to improve Tallahassee's "walkability?"
Attend the Pedestrian Workshop, from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
Tallahassee Senior Center. Participants will join health and transportation
professionals to look at ways to improve pedestrian safety throughout the
city. Workshop discussions and an observational "Walk About" will highlight
common injury situations and how Tallahassee can become more pedestrian
friendly. Attendees will learn how changes to the physical environment,
education and enforcement can improve safety for walkers - especially
seniors and the disabled. Space is limited and reservations suggested. There
is no charge. For information or to participate, contact Beth Hollister at
891-4041 or elizabeth.hollister@xxxxxxxxxxx The workshop is brought to you
by Tallahassee Senior Services and Foundation, Leon County Senior Outreach,
and Positive Aging Communities for a Lifetime Programs.
