Minutes - October 8, 2009 TCB Meeting Attendance: Sally and William Benjamin, Darla and Gary Rogers, Maryann and Tony Laird, Tricia Kiser, Sila Miller, Arbree Houston, Cathy Graham, Trish McGriff, Carl McCoy, Nancy Folsom, Scott Greenblatt, Wanda Stokley, Cassandra Jessie, Evelyn Worley, Linda Jones The meeting began with 4 members of the Star Metro office with Sam Scheib presenting the NOVA 2010 schedule in great detail which is changing daily. This was followed by a questions and answers time. The business meting began with the reminder of White Cane Day activities for Thursday, October 15th at the intersection of Mahan and Capital Circle and Call St. and Magnolia Drive from 2:00-5:00 with members of the local Lion's Club. The Minutes and Treasurer's Report were not given since time was limited following the guest speakers. The check for the purchase of the candy was requested by William. Sila reported the TCB Christmas party will be on December 12 from 4:30-9:00 p.m. at the laird home. Activities will include a delicious meal, Dirty Santa, and a hay ride. Arbree will take the reservations and the deadline for these will be 12/5. You may e-mail your reservation to breezy50@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or by calling 850 692-3733. Please let Arbree know if you are going to need transportation and arrangements will be announced at a later date. Sila brought up there were 5 tickets available still for Dining in the Dark and after some discussion Sila moved the 5 tickets be donated to The Lighthouse to be sold for the upcoming event. Darla made a second and there was unanimous approval. Gary moved the meeting be adjourned with a second was made by Arbree and unanimous approval followed .
