Camp Ex is here!! This is a retreat designed for adults dealing with
losing their eyesight. The Covington Blind and Low Vision Outreach
Group in partnership with Blue Lake Camp are excited to be hosting the
FIRST annual camp for adults who just so happen to be blind or low
vision.

The fun all begins on Sunday thru Tuesday, September 26th-28th. Camp
Ex is located at Blue Lake Camp, 8500 Oakwood Lane, 11 miles south of
Andalusia. We have a limited number of FREE scholarships available.

The Covington Outreach group wants to reach out for those needing
resources and assistance dealing with their loss of eyesight. The
retreat will become an annual event for adults. 1 out of 10 adults
begin to lose their eyesight after 50 years old. There are very few
retreats designed for adults with low eyesight in the United States.
Most camps are for children with special needs or training. We want
to make Blue Lake Camp on the spotlight as a resource for leisure and
learning fun. This camp is designed to teach independent living
skills, white cane skills, motivational support, and great social
networking while having loads of fun.
