I just hope that the sidewalks are for people only. I have seen some bicycles on sidewalks here and still have very much in my memory a horrible time from long ago. I was walking on a neighborhood sidewalk and some kid on a bike silently came up behind me and the front tire went between my legs and we both went down.

below is Allison's answer to your question:

There are two pictures which accompany this article and both
captions mention the south side of Apalachee Parkway as being
the side having sidewalks installed.  That would seem to make
it the side opposite Governor's Square Mall.  The south side
would be the side where the road where FIRE used to be
located.  I don't know if there new locations is in the same
vicinity.

did you see a diagram or drawing that would have showed you
whether the sidewalks were on both sides of the street, or just one?
