The Resource Referral Network allows people to search for accessible inclusive programs and services, products, destinations, and events throughout the state of Florida. Searches can be made depending on the needs of each person. Examples include searching by county for any type of recreation source or a search for information just on horseback riding. The Recreation Resource Referral Network is online at www.fdoa.org/rrd . This tool can be used to learn about recreation that will help people to be healthier, meet other people, network, have fun and simply have a better quality of life. Laurie LoRe-Gussak, Executive Director of the Florida Disabled Outdoors Association states, "Many times, people do not realize that there are recreation options in their own neighborhood that are designed with people with disabilities in mind. The health and wellness benefits gained from active leisure are numerous. It is important that people with disabilities can recreate with their families and friends and live healthy lifestyles." It is important to note that the Florida Disabled Outdoors Association's listing of recreation services does not constitute an endorsement of any program, service, product, event or destination. This database is for information and referral purposes only. By using this resource, the user agrees not to hold the FDOA liable for problems that may occur. About Florida Disabled Outdoors Association The Florida Disabled Outdoors Association's mission is to enrich lives through accessible inclusive recreation for all.
