Columbia Estuary Report - 4/22/2021

Shorebird activity has been picking up around Youngs Bay over the last
couple days.  There were 107 WHIMRELS and 49 MARBLED GODWITS in
the pastures around Wireless Rd along 7 other species of shorebirds
300-400 RING-BILLED GULLS today.

A flock of 10 SNOW GEESE spent a couple days here early in the week
and big flocks of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE have been reported.

A VAUX'S SWIFT was with swallows yesterday at Wireless and at least
three TOWNSEND'SOLITAIRES were still hanging out in the ivy covered
alders at the east end of Ft Stevens Historical Area.
