Hello SWACUHO-

My name is Nicholas Schiller and I am a Graduate Hall Director at Arkansas
State University. I am reaching out to you all today in hopes of gaining
new information on the security measures other schools use for their
residence halls in this region. Here at ASU, we use swipe cards for
building entry. But we also have the common problem of one person swiping
for groups at a time ("piggy-backing" in).

The basic questions that we are asking are:
1) Do your halls use front desks to control traffic and visitation?
2) If so, what kind of processes do you have in place to determine whether
someone entering the building is actually a resident of that hall?
3) What are the potential pros and cons to the process that you utilize?

Thank you so much for you time. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Sincerely,
Nicholas Schiller
